Student Voluntary Internships
A Student Voluntary Internship is an experience of up to 12 months at a host organisation. It can be carried out in addition to a compulsory undergraduate traineeship in Italy or abroad. This internship is entirely separate from your traineeship, which awards ECTS credits, and under no circumstances earns you any additional ECTS credits towards your university career.
As with traineeships, Student Voluntary Internships can be carried out at affiliated host organisations only. The agreements signed between the University of Padova and host organisations govern both traineeships and Student Voluntary Internships.
You may undertake one or more voluntary internships at different host organisations, but please make sure that their times and days do not clash if they occur simultaneously.
Voluntary internships can also be undertaken at the organisation that hosted your traineeship. If this happens, however, your voluntary internship must last less than 12 months. To calculate its potential length, subtract the length of your traineeship from the 12-month maximum:
EXAMPLE
Maximum 12 months - (minus) a 5-month traineeship = a voluntary internship of up to 7 months at the same host.
Check out the latest internships at Calls and opportunities in Italy and Calls and opportunities abroad, which are listed on the Career Service website.
DURING a Student Voluntary Internship, your tutor must notify the Career Service of any absences or changes to your initial training project by emailing (stage@unipd.it - iva.begagic@unipd.it).
You do not need to submit any documentation at the end of your Student Voluntary Internship.
