Registering your traineeship online

NB: You do not have to sign up to register your traineeship, as this will be done automatically once our staff have ensured your submitted documentation is correct.

The traineeship-completion documentation needs to be submitted by the deadline stated in the table above, so that the ECTS credits for your traineeship can be registered on the date the window opens.

Students about to graduate: ensure that you know the deadline for registering your traineeship; this date is non-negotiable if your ECTS credits are to be registered in your booklet (libretto), thus enabling you to graduate.

Recognition of professional work/volunteer work as an undergraduate

Although non-university activities can be recognised, it only happens in exceptional circumstances, as your traineeship must be based on a period of training related to your study plan.

When applying for recognition of professional work or volunteer work as your traineeship, you must have:

- worked in a single organisation for at least 5/6 consecutive months within the last two years. Your written report needs to state your exact daily/weekly working hours, the work you carried out, the aspects related to your training as a psychologist, and the psychology skills you believe you have acquired as a result of this work.

or

- worked as a volunteer in a single organisation for at least 9/12 consecutive months within the last two years. Your written report needs to state your exact daily/weekly working hours, the work you carried out, the aspects related to your training as a psychologist, and the psychology skills you believe you have acquired as a result of this work.

Students on Second-Cycle/Master’s and Specialisation courses cannot apply for recognition if they applied during their First-Cycle/Bachelor's degree for the same or other activities.

To apply for recognition, you need to submit:

  1. a WRITTEN REPORT, i.e. 1-to-2 pages containing a detailed description of the work you carried out, signed by you the trainee, COUNTERSIGNED by your tutor, and STAMPED with the official stamp of your host organisation.
  2. a RECOGNITION FORM, which states your personal details (name, surname, student number, degree course, telephone number), your host organisation's details (address, tutor’s or supervisor’s name), and total hours that you would like recognised.

- your application will be evaluated and approved at the discretion of the Traineeships Commission, which will assess on a case-by-case basis whether the regulations have been observed, your work complies with the regulations, and it is scientifically, academically and professionally relevant.
The Traineeships Commission will publish its evaluation within one month of your documentation being submitted.

- National Civilian Service (SCN)
You can apply to have your current National Civilian Service (SCN) recognised, but only after you have worked for more than nine months, or six months if your SCN has been interrupted for documented health reasons, or by force majeure.
Your documentation should be signed by your tutor and saved in a single PDF/A file. It should then be emailed to one of the following addresses (submission in any other way will not be accepted): iva.begagic@unipd.it or stage@unipd.it
